Angle Copper Busbar

An angle copper busbar is a T2 copper conductor formed into an L-shaped, angle-steel style cross-section rather than a flat bar. One leg sits flat against the panel backplane and bolts down, while the other leg stands forward to receive component connections, so the same part carries current and serves as its own mounting bracket. Because the 90-degree corner is the critical feature, we control the inner corner radius for each material thickness - too large and bolt heads cannot seat flat against the copper, too small and the bend cracks under load.

Product Description

An angle copper busbar is a T2 copper conductor formed into an L-shaped, angle-steel style cross-section rather than a flat bar. One leg sits flat against the panel backplane and bolts down, while the other leg stands forward to receive component connections, so the same part carries current and serves as its own mounting bracket. Because the 90-degree corner is the critical feature, we control the inner corner radius for each material thickness - too large and bolt heads cannot seat flat against the copper, too small and the bend cracks under load. The angle is checked after forming so the L seats squarely against the panel, and leg lengths and thickness follow customer drawings. Produced to GB/T5585.1-2026, the T2 copper reaches Cu >= 99.90% purity with >= 97.3% IACS conductivity.

For panel builders, an angle busbar that fits on one piece but drifts on the next is a real assembly problem, because there is nothing to adjust on site. We select the bending die for the specific thickness and hold the inner radius against an in-house reference table, then verify the 90-degree angle on each piece before it leaves the line. Run across a batch, the value is consistency: leg length, corner radius and right angle land within the same tolerance order after order, so your crew bolts the bar down the same way every time. Because we cut bulk only after a pre-production sample you confirm, the cross-section you approved is the cross-section you receive in full production.

Applications

Application 1 - Panel backplane mounting. One leg bolts directly to the panel or enclosure backplane while the forward leg carries component terminals, so the busbar doubles as its own bracket and removes the need for separate mounting angles.

Application 2 - Cabinet corner and edge routing. The right-angle profile follows wall and corner lines inside the cabinet, keeping the conductor tight against the enclosure and freeing the central compartment for breakers and feed-throughs.

Application 3 - Bolted terminal and component connections. The flat forward leg gives a clean, full-contact surface for bolted lugs and devices, distributing clamping pressure better than a narrow flat bar bent on site.

Customization

Produced from customer CAD drawings or 3D files, with leg lengths, thickness, hole positions and the inner corner radius defined per project. We confirm bend feasibility during drawing review, make a pre-production sample for your approval before bulk cutting, and allow mixed specifications in one order. OEM branding is supported.

Packaging & Transportation

Wrapped with bubble film, neatly bundled, and long profiles secured on solid wooden pallets to protect the 90-degree corners from denting. We support factory pickup and nearby-port delivery under EXW or FOB terms.

FAQ

Q1. Can you produce angle copper busbars exactly to our drawings?

Yes. We manufacture from your CAD drawings or 3D files, select the bending die and inner corner radius for your material thickness, and make a pre-production sample for your confirmation before bulk production.

Q2. How do you choose the corner radius for my leg thickness?

Our workers use an in-house reference table built from years of bending experience, select the die for each thickness, and check the 90-degree angle after forming. This keeps bolt heads seating flat and avoids cracking at the bend.

Q3. Is the copper material guaranteed?

The base copper is guaranteed for life to meet the T2 copper grade (Cu >= 99.90%, GB/T5585.1-2026). We also fully accept third-party material inspection.
