Channel Copper Busbar

A channel copper busbar has a U-shaped cross-section: two parallel sides joined by a flat bottom, like a slot or channel profile. The shape is made to contact two conductive surfaces at once - the two parallel legs can clamp over an existing busbar or bridge between two terminals, roughly doubling the contact area of a single flat bar and lowering joint resistance and heat. The dimension that matters most is the spacing and parallelism between the two sides; if they drift, the channel will not slip over the mating part. We bend with dedicated fixtures that hold the material square during forming and measure width and side alignment on every piece, holding the bottom corner radius so the copper does not crack. Material is T2 copper to GB/T5585.1-2026, Cu >= 99.90%, >= 97.3% IACS.

A U-channel only works if it actually fits over the bar it is meant to clamp, and a channel that binds halfway forces rework on the assembly line. Our bending fixtures hold the two sides parallel and lock the side-to-side spacing during forming, and we check that width and alignment on each piece rather than sampling.
