Product Description
A Z profile copper busbar is formed into a Z-shaped offset cross-section: two parallel faces connected by a slanted middle section that shifts the conductor sideways and up or down. Inside a crowded distribution cabinet this lets the current path step around a component and land on terminals at a different height, without adding extra joint points. The hardest dimension to hold is the offset height difference between the two faces - if it is off, the mounting holes will not line up with the terminals. We use dedicated bending dies to control that offset and check the height difference on each piece. Material is T2 copper to GB/T5585.1-2026, Cu >= 99.90%, >= 97.3% IACS.
For a Z offset bar, the whole point is that the two ends land on terminals at a set height, and there is no room to fudge the dimension once the panel is assembled. We control the offset with purpose-made dies and measure the height difference between the two faces on every piece rather than trusting the setup. The buying value is true terminal alignment: the upper and lower faces line up with your equipment as drawn, so bolts go through without reaming, shims or bent lugs. Because we make a pre-production sample you can mount against your layout before bulk cutting, the offset that clears your obstacles is the one that ships in full order.

Applications
Application 1 - Obstacle clearance inside distribution cabinets. The Z offset lets the busbar step around components, cable ducts or mounting rails that a straight bar or simple bend cannot avoid.
Application 2 - Connecting terminals at different heights. The slanted middle section shifts the conductor up or down to mate with breakers, isolators or busway taps mounted on different planes, cutting the number of joining pieces.
Application 3 - Direction- and position-changing busway runs. Where the current path must change both level and position through a tight enclosure, the pre-formed Z profile follows the available envelope without on-site bending.
Customization
Produced from customer CAD drawings or 3D files, with offset height, slant angle, leg lengths and hole positions defined per project. We review the bending drawings carefully, confirm feasibility up front for complex offset structures, make a pre-production sample for your approval, and allow mixed specifications in one order. OEM branding is supported.
Packaging & Transportation
Wrapped with bubble film and bundled to protect the offset shape; long profiles are secured on solid wooden pallets. We support factory pickup and nearby-port delivery under EXW or FOB terms.
FAQ
Q1. What are the payment terms for a custom Z profile busbar order?
Custom orders require a 50% deposit to lock material and scheduling, with the balance paid before shipment. We accept USD, EUR and CNY cross-border and RMB settlement.
Q2. What if the busbars arrive damaged?
Send photos with part numbers and quantities. Factory-caused issues (processing error, plating or packaging faults) are deducted by the defective ratio; logistics-caused damage is handled through the freight forwarder's claim process, which we assist with.
Q3. How do you guarantee the offset height aligns with my terminals?
We form the offset on dedicated dies and measure the height difference between the two faces on every piece, and we make a pre-production sample for you to trial-fit before bulk production.
