Product Description
The copper braid connector is a ready-to-bolt flexible link: a woven T2 copper braid forms the flexible middle section, and copper lugs or tube terminals are crimped onto both ends. Instead of arriving as loose braid that the installer must terminate in the field, the connector ships with fixed end terminals, so it can be bolted straight to a transformer bushing, a switchgear stud or an equipment tab. The braided center absorbs vibration and positional movement between the two mounted points, while the crimped ends carry the full current and mechanical load. Crimp control is the critical step on this part – a loose crimp lets the terminal pull off under load, while an over-tight crimp cuts and weakens the strands – so we crimp with purpose-built dies matched to each terminal size.
The value to a buyer is that termination risk is removed from the field: because every terminal is compressed with matched dies and checked by pull-off force and resistance tests on each batch, the connector arrives bolt-ready with verified joints rather than depending on the installer's own crimping. For switchgear and transformer assembly lines this shortens on-site work and removes the most common failure point of flexible links – an end that comes off.

Applications
Application 1 – Transformer-to-switchgear connections. Pre-crimped ends bolt directly to bushings and studs, cutting installation time on two units that also shift under thermal movement.
Application 2 – Flexible jumpers inside electrical equipment. The braided center flexes while equipment vibrates or settles, maintaining the joint where a rigid jumper would fatigue.
Application 3 – Outdoor substation conductive connections. The crimped terminals hold up to field mounting, and the flexible braid tolerates wind- and thermal-induced movement.
Customization
Braid width, length, and the terminal at each end – copper lug, tube terminal, hole size and stud configuration – are defined by your drawings. We confirm terminal types and dimensions before production and supply a pre-production sample for approval. Mixed specifications within one order are accepted, and OEM branding is available.
Packaging & Transportation
Connectors are individually wrapped in bubble film to protect the crimped terminals and braid, then bundled; heavier bundles are secured on wooden pallets. Factory pickup and nearby-port delivery are supported under EXW or FOB terms.
