Copper Braided Strap

The copper braided strap is a flexible electrical conductor woven from many thin T2 copper strands twisted and braided together, rather than stacked from copper foil. Because the strands interlace into a woven profile, the strap bends through a much smaller radius than a foil strap or a rigid bar while still carrying rated current, which makes it suited to routing inside dense cabinets where straight runs are not possible. The braided construction also tolerates repeated movement and vibration without work-hardening the way a rigid conductor does, so bolted contact points stay seated over time. On this product, wire tension during braiding is the decisive process point: if individual strands run unevenly tight or loose, the braid surface waves and will not sit flat, and a wavy contact face transfers pressure poorly once installed. Our braiding lines hold stable tension on every strand so the finished strap keeps a flat, even surface.

Consistent strand tension across the braid is what buyers actually pay for on this part: a flat, uniform contact face seats fully against bushing or stud faces instead of touching at a few high spots, which keeps contact resistance low in the tight-routing positions where the strap has to work.
