Product Description
The flexible copper strap is built from multiple layers of soft-temper T2 copper foil stacked and compressed into one conductor. Unlike a rigid bar, it bends and twists, which lets it absorb the vibration, expansion and thermal movement that occur in operating electrical equipment. In installations where rigid busbars would transfer stress to connection points and loosen them over time, the strap flexes instead and keeps contact pressure stable. Because the strap's electrical performance depends on the layers being pressed tightly together, the compression tightness during assembly is the key process point - loose layers raise contact resistance and create hot spots. Our team controls compression pressure and temperature during assembly and runs contact resistance checks on each batch.
A flexible strap is a custom-made product in practice: length, width and hole positions come from the customer's drawings, so the value of our production lies in converting those drawings into a conductor with low and stable contact resistance. We confirm length and hole positions before production, make a pre-production sample for approval, and deliver custom orders within 1–2 weeks of drawing confirmation. For buyers integrating straps into switchgear or transformer connections, this means the part arrives ready to install with the contact performance already verified rather than left to chance.

Applications
Application 1 – Transformer to switchgear connections. The strap absorbs the vibration and thermal movement between these two units, protecting the bolted connection from fatigue over the equipment's service life.
Application 2 – Electrical equipment subject to vibration. Motors, compressors and similar machinery transmit vibration into their connections; the flexible construction keeps the joint intact where a rigid bar would loosen.
Application 3 – Connections that must absorb thermal expansion. When busbars heat and cool in cycles, the strap accommodates the dimensional change so the connection does not develop stress cracks or loose contact.
Customization
Flexible copper straps are produced to customer drawings, with length, width, number of layers, hole positions and end configurations defined per project. We confirm the drawing before production, supply a pre-production sample for approval, and support mixed specifications within one order. OEM branding is available.
Packaging & Transportation
Straps are protected with bubble film and packed to prevent the foil layers from being crushed or deformed in transit; heavier bundles are secured on pallets. Factory pickup and nearby-port delivery are supported under EXW or FOB terms.
FAQ
Q1. Can the strap be made to my specified length and hole positions?
Yes. The strap is manufactured from your drawings; we confirm length and hole positions before production and make a pre-production sample for your approval.
Q2. Do you provide free samples?
No. Samples are charged at material plus processing cost, and pre-production samples take about one week to develop.
Q3. What are the payment terms for custom flexible connectors?
Custom orders require a 50% deposit for raw material purchase, with the balance paid before shipment. USD, EUR and CNY are accepted.
